Maximize in Seamless mode not working for host windows

Post by abcuser »

Hi,
Windows XP SP3 as host and Ubuntu 8.10 as guest. I turned Seamless Mode in guest. When maximizing guest windows window maximizes correctly - window knows there is upper Ubuntu menu bar and Windows taskbar.

But when maximizing host window it maximizes ower Ubunt menu bar.

Why? Can I fix that?

Through the GA, the Guest is 'aware' of the Host taskbar. However, for the Host, VB is just another application it can draw it's own windows on top of. I know that in Linux, some desktop managers allow you to set margins in which no window will be displayed. I though there was a similar function in Windows, though probably with the use of some 3rd party application.
