VirtualBox crash when in WIndows XP run tracert( traceroute)

In Ubuntu 8.04, when in VirtualBox run Windows XP SP3, virtualbox is closed when run in cmd tracert.

For example, tracert www.google.com

Confirmed. When attached to NAT, it aborts as soon as it reaches the second hop, that is the outside network of VB. The first hop, 10.0.2.2 is fine, but the next one breaks it.
I can't test it with HIF, because Windows starts to bug me about an IP conflict from the MAC address of my PC. Possible cause is the wireless.
