VirtualBox on Ubuntu 8.10 host with windows XP guest having

Post by vinu76jsr »

I have installed virtualbox(latest version) on ubuntu 8.10 as host
I installed windows XP as guest in a with 4 GB HDD and 800 mb RAM , everything is working fine , except there is no sound, I mean I have enabled audio driver(from settings) although I did not installed any separate audio driver, in control panel> sound and video options>
it says Intelr integrated , I could slide the sliders of volume
everything set to highest except there is no sound

Did you make sure that you actually set a Sound Server in your VM settings, and not just leave it at Null Audio? Null Audio sends it to space, not your audio card ;).
