Guest to see Host as network server via PXE possible?

Post by WEC777 »

I'm running VB 2.1.0 (now updated to 2.1.2) on a Vista SP1 host; doesn't matter what guest OS as you'll see below.

I'd like to get the VB Guest to PXE boot and connect with the Vista Host over TCP/IP (preferably) for disk imaging.

I've checked out the documentation, online FAQ's, & searched the forums via Google (using site:virtualbox.org) and although I've found bits and pieces, unfortunately have not been able to find enough information to string together and pull myself up by the the bootstraps (Mr. VB n00b). :(

Thanks in advance for any light you experienced folks might be able to shed. :)

Blessings...

Edit: Hmmm, no response so I guess the part below is just too difficult. Never mind the PS part then - let's just get the above sorted. :) Of course, it could be that I put so many smileys in my message that it makes folks sick to their stomach to look at?!? LOL

PS If possible, I'd also like to keep my Vista Host connected to the Internet and protected via Comodo Firewall. I connect via wireless at home and Ethernet at work; both are assigned IP's. ;)
