"VirtualBox Host Interface 1" does not exist + VB

I am getting "VirtualBox Host Interface 1" does not exist with VBox Host Interface Networking Driver selected in "Local Area Connection".

The error showed up after upgrading VBox to 2.1.2 from the previous version.
Tried removing VBox completely and re-installing.

The original install created new interfaces in "Network Connections".
The re-install failed to created new interfaces.

Where to go from here?

Virtualbox no longer uses a network bridge for host interface, you have to edit your virtual machines, and select your network card instead of the old virtual interface.
