I have installed ubuntu as guest on windows xp using latest VB.
I have a pppoe modem through which I access the internet on windows.
I tried to configure the modem on ubuntu using sudo pppoeconf
but it fails and says
"Sorry, I scanned 1 interface, but the Access Concentrator of your provider did not respond. Please check your network and modem cables. Another reason or the scan failure may also be another running pppoe
process which controls the modem."
Cannot connect to internet
Re: Cannot connect to internet
Hi ! I think, doesn't matter what type is your real Internet connection. U must set your VBox VM as follows - Network > Intel PRO 1000 .../ NAT. Note that I didn't try set Internet on Ubuntu Guest OS but I think that it is same the Windows and other OS guests.nshailesh wrote:I have installed ubuntu as guest on windows xp using latest VB.
