Windows 95 guest - no drivers

Post by touche »

Hey guys

I am using Windows Vista x64 as a host, and I have Windows 95 OSR2 installed as a guest.

I have the RAM set at 128MB, video at 6MB, and hardware acceleration on.

Windows cannot find drivers for the video or network. Sorry, I am very new at VirtualBox.

What should I do to get Windows to connect to the internet? Also, it seems VERY slow, is that normal?

Win95, and all the Windows based on it (98, ME) are not supported by the Guest Additions. See the VirtualBox FAQ, at the bottom there is a link to the Wiki. That expains what you need for Windows 9x Guests. OpenGL, the 3D acceleration, is only supported on 2000 and newer.
