OSX.5.6 Host - Ubuntu 8.10 guest - Airport control

Post by palermo »

Hi everyone,

I installed VBox 2.1.2 on my macbook v5.1 (macbook unibody 13")
on Ubuntu guest (v8.10) I'd like to get control over my wifi card (airport with braodcom 43xx chip).
However when i type iwconfig in a guest terminal i get the message that "no wireless device detected"
i search on the net and noticed that when installed on a dedicated partiton, ubuntu users could get control over the airport card.
I tryed diffrent network settings in VBox without succes, each time pointing on "airport"
Could someone tell me the right network settings in VBox in order to get control over the wifi card if it's possible.
Thanks in advance for any help you could provide me with.

Sorry not possible. Your guest only sees virtual hardware.
Some say: "You learn as long as you live".
My way: "You live as long as you learn".
