ubuntu guest and a rt73 chipset wlan usb stick.....

Hi,

i tried virtualbox on Windows XP SP3 with ubunut 8.10 server guest. lsusb did find the USB Stick and i can install the drivers. The drivers are loaded, but i didn't get scan result with iwlist raub0 list.
Back to Windows i can find 3 wlans.

What did i wrong ?

Did you run the scan as root? I have about the same on my laptop with my intel wireless card. When I run it as normal user, it usually finds nothing, after I run it as root using sudo, I can find them. Did you also check the Ubuntu forums if the driver actually supports it like that?

joup, tried it as normal user and with sudo, no scan results...
i use the drivers in a normal ubuntu installation and there they are working, so it seems to be a error with Virtualbox.... but i will try now some other drivers, perhaps it will help
