virtualbox freezes while saving execution state

Post by karl.forner »

Hi,
I'm using vbox 2.10 on windows xp host with an ubuntu 8.04 guest.
When I close vbox adn select to save the execution state, it stops at 97% and freezes forever.

Any suggestion ?

Thanks

It just happened again, in fact eacht time I have signifcant amount of stuff running. Could it be related to the amount of used memory ? Or related to open networks connections (ssh, sshfs ) ?

Thx

I have one guest(running xp pro) that does the exact same thing. It did not do this until I upgraded to 2.12. I am using ubuntu 8.10 as host.

Please open a topic in the proper location. This is Windows Hosts, not Linux Hosts. The cause can be different. Try a sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup first.

I installed 2.1.2, and am still experiencing the same problem.
If my ubuntu guest is "empty", I mean if I close all aplications and ssh connections the state saving runs fine, otherwise it usually stops at 97%
