Can't see my network?

Post by Kahuna »

Hi Folks - another nOOb Q I'm afraid

I have a new VBox VM, it seems to be working fine, and I can connect to the Web OK.

I can explore my network places and get to see the workgroup LAN (it's called workgroup BTW) but I cant then get to see whos on the LAN. Its visible to all the other PC's on the LAN.

I can also see the VM on the workgroup Lan from other PC's but cant get to it (though C is shared).

Feedback Appreciated

Any suggestions on how I might detect the problem with networking this VM would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Did you find the error? You have to make sure that your VM is in the same workgroup as the other machines, and you use HIF so it becomes a part of the network.
