Up until a few days ago, I have been using a USB Bluetooth adapter to synchronize my BlackBerry with my Windows XP guest OS. However, when I attach the adapter to the machine, it fails to work. When I go to the device manager, it shows that the device has functioned incorrectly and is disabled.
The event viewer only provides one helpful piece of info:
I then tried the adapter on a Linux guest. The results were essentially the same (from dmesg):A command sent to the radio has timed out; the radio did not respond.
hci_cmd_task: hci0 command tx timeout
I have reason to believe that this problem was caused by the upgrade to 2.6.28, but I'm not positive about this. I know that 2.6.28 broke USB fingerprint authenticators, but I haven't done extensive research into the changes in USB handling.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Also, an important note: the adapter works fine on my host OS.
EDIT: 2.6.28.1 resolves this problem. It's already in the Arch repositories.
