Using existing VBox sessions on new install

i was just wondering, can i take the session i have created and put on a different machine? if so how? thanks

Primary OS: Ubuntu other
VBox Version: VirtualBox+Oracle ExtPack
Guest OSses: Ubuntu 10.04 & 11.10, both Svr&Wstn, Debian, CentOS

You can move VMs with some care, though this isn't formally supported. The trick is to replicate the ~/.VirtualBox directory and related files. If any paths change in the relocation, then you need to edit the various XML registry files to fix up the paths.

Moving a suspended machine is not recommended as the CPU could change and this would panic the guest.
