Seamless mode is disabled

Post by ninadshaha »

Hello all,
I am having Dell studio 15 laptop with windows vista home premium. recently i prepare a virtual machine with RHEL4, ubantu 8,10, SLED 10, and install guest additions successfully. still the seamless mode option in Device menu is disabled.
Please help me how to resolve this issue.

Regards,
ninad.

Do you have custom resolutions? So the VM resolution changes automatically if you resize the GUI? If that doesn't happen, then the video isn't installed properly. Check your xorg.conf file and make sure that the driver is set to vboxvideo. Add it if there is no config for a videocard.

	Monitor "Configured Monitor"
	Device "Configured Video Device"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "vboxmouse"
        Driver "vboxmouse"
        Option "CorePointer"
        Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
EndSection
