Keyboard typing problems

Systemhost: XP SP2
Guest: Suse Linux 10.2
Network: NAT

System runs nearly perfect! No complains but the keyboard usage: When typing in a wordprocessor or shell, the typed keys repeat many times. It's nearly impossible to do shell operations or shell (ssh) logins, as i am not able to type the correct password.

Example: instead of "asdf" it writes"assssddf"

There seems to be a timing problem - any ideas?

Exact same problem here.

I have the same problem and may have a workaround. If the host machine has Hyperthreading "enabled" in the BIOS, change it to "disabled". This fixed the typing issue on a Pentium 4 machine with Windows XP SP3 that has VBox 2.0.2 installed with a Linux guest booting from the Knoppix 5.3.1 Live DVD iso image. After this change, the system clock in the Linux guest now increments at the same interval as the Windows host's clock.
