I'm running VirtualBox on a Linux host. I have an existing Laptop drive that has Windows installed.

I would like to remove the drive and attach it to the desktop I have running Linux and virtual box (attach the SATA drive either via eSATA or USB).

I'm think looking to create a VDI so I can run this existing Windows install that is on the hard drive locally on the desktop as a VDI.

Is this possible. How do I go about doing it. I did some searching online but came away confused with what I read. Thanks.

Check the sticky in the Windows Guests forum. It explains how to use a physical hard drive in VB.
