Memory Remap on Vista x64

I got a PC with a P5B-VM Asus motherboard and Vista x64.
I upgrade it to 6GB of Ram, so I enabled the Memory Remap in my bios.
After that VirtualBox Virtual Machines don't work.
I thought it was a windows' problem because it boots slower, but all other programs work correctly.

What can I do?

Did you really need that remap option for the 64 bit Host? Isn't it needed if you run a 32 bit OS with 4 GB of RAM?
Any error you get when you start the VM?

The guide of my motherboard says: “ ... Enable this option only when you install 64-bit operating system. ...”.
The error happens when I try to start a VM.
If I try to start Xubuntu, it begins but stops after the screen says “Boot from (hd0,0) ext3 ...”

Yes, he does. If the option is not enabled, he will not be able to see the whole 6GB RAM even under a 64 bit OS. To be sure, if you use a 32 bit OS, then you should disable that option.

I use a Gigabyte P35 board which seems to automatically handle this without the need for such an option in the BIOS.

Ok, thanks for the info. I don't have experience with systems that have more than 4 GB of RAM. My PC has 3, laptop has 2 GB. And I don't run 64 bit systems either.
