EDIT:
a couple question about snapshots please, what exactly is stored in them? i mean the original image is the .vdi file right so are changes made to this file at all? or are all the disk changes including system changes and files i make held soley in the snapshots? i have a limited 30gb space on a second partition to use for all data contained withing the virtual machine so would it be worth putting thesnapshots in that space or store them on a separate drive?
i guess my worry is that the original vdi file will swell up along side the snapshots reaching the 30gb capacity rather quickly.
also can i move the snapshots from one location to another? assuming i change the snapshot location within virtualbox configuration.
last one, i noticed on my primary partition that i have my host xp installation, within my documents there is a virtualbox folder with a few small files contained within, this was the default location for the snapshots which has since been reconfigured. however im assuming these are important to the guest OS, what are the other files contained within and how would it affect my guest OS if i was to format that partition? can they be moved to my secondry partition at all without reinstalling virtualbox?
