Okay, got window's 7 installed hours ago, took only 30 minutes which was really nice and quick.

Everything went fine however certain drivers are not being caught by windows or anything sadly.

My main concern is the network drivers, the only other one to not work is the audio driver but that can wait.

For some reason Windows 7 refuses to see my network device. Says there is not one installed.

In the setup for this virtual box system the network is set to :
Adapter 1 : PCnet-FASTIII (Am79c973)(Not Attached)
I have tried it with nat (default option) to no avail as well.

The only other device in there are the Intell 1000 ones which I suppose I could try. I did try the PCnet-Fast II one and it did not work either.

I did make an ISO with vista drivers downloaded from Nvidia for my version of their Nforce chipset and tried installing those into windows 7, and while it read and gladly installed the driver Windows 7 still say's I have no device installed for the network. Same deal occured when I installed the audio drivers for vista (could be XP Realteks website sucks but again I dont care about sound just yet)

A few times it will come up with "Device Driver software was not successfully installed" Once I open that it comes up with Ethernet Controller, No Driver found. Even though I installed the Vista ones for my Nforce board.

I tried going into Device Manager and pointing it to the installed driver folder and it comes up blank.

Its Very early and I must get to bed, but does anyone else have any suggestions for getting the network device up and running?

I have seen posts where people mentioned that it worked just fine from a Vista host, however I only have Vista on my HTPC and I dont want to install Virtual Box on that to play with windows 7.

Thanks!

Well earlier I switched over to the Intel MT device and tried and it did not work.

After changing something else and starting up the Virtual Box again it installed and works now so whatever but at least its working.
