No floppy & only one (of two) CDs

Hi All,
I am initially trying to setup an environment to run virtualized Win2003.
Currently have running Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop (AMD64) with Virtualbox (virtualbox-2.1_2.1.0-41146_Ubuntu_intrepid_amd64.deb) hosting Win2003. However I have hit a few problems. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
1). Virtualbox only seems to allow one CD/DVD drive to be used at a time.
2). Floppy drive does not seem to be recognised.
3). SCSI controller (Adaptec 29320) is not detected, Ubuntu does not seem to support SCSI controllers.
Where do I go from here, should I try a different Linux distro, if so which one?
I have also just tried installing Proxmox but had even less success with that, couldn't work out how to see the screen of the guest OS.
Nick
