Problem to see apache server on windows

Post by formula »

Hi all,

I have just installed Ubuntu on my Vista machine and it works fine.

On Ubuntu 8.1 I called the computer ubuntuHP and installed apache on it. It works perfect when I put http://localhost or http://ubuntupc

but how can I access the server from Vista? and what is the IP of the Ubuntu system?

thanks for the help!

If you have VB 2.1.0 just use Host Interface rather than NAT and then you just see the VM as another machine on your network. By default it will pick up its IP address from your DHCP service (typically your router).
