Hi. I have VBox 2.1 installed on Ubuntu Server (Hardy) 64 bits, the guest is another Ubuntu Server (hardy). I also have a Host interface which is working OK. So I can reach the host and VM using the assigned static and public IP addreses (hosted on a Service Provider)
My problem is that for some reason, apparently when the VM has no activity for a long period of time (at night), I cannot reach the VM using the IP number assigned. The host can always be reached but not the VM. After a few pings from the host to the VM and vice versa, to test everything, the VM can be reached again......
Has anybody expirienced something similar?
