Trying to migrate Ubuntu64 and windows XP from VMware

Hello all, I am new to this product. I use 'MS Virtual PC' and 'VMware Workgroup'. My host is Windows XP SP3. I wanted to tryout VirtualBox and compare performance. Currently there is a big difference between VMware and Virtual PC when running Windows on Windows. I am running on an E6700 Core 2 Duo.

I'm trying to migrate over Ubuntu64 to VirtualBox, at boot time I get the error:
"Starting UP"
"This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU."
"Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU."

I specified in the settings it was a Ubuntu-64. Have no problem with VMware.

When I try to migrate Windows XP SP3 the console just does not change.

The Ubuntu error is because you don't meet the requirements to run 64 bit Guests. See the manual for what you need. VMWare works a bit different than VB on this matter.
