And where did I exhibited this stubbornness you speak of?
As far as I can tell, creating new nlite xp cd and then installing and configuring it is far greated waste of time than asking for faster and simpler solution.
If you can't provide one, at least don't go calling people dim-witted ("in case you didn't figure it out") or stubborn right off the bat.

Re: xp sp3 slipstreamed using nlite missing ac97 driver
Creating an ISO with nLite and modify it is the waste on it's own. I'm simply stating that you install a new VM with an UNMODIFIED XP. If that does install the driver properly, then you know where to get it from. Somehow extracting that will make it work for you. There are also so called driver packs that seem to have all the drivers you might need in them.Lockheed wrote:As far as I can tell, creating new nlite xp cd and then installing and configuring it is far greated waste of time than asking for faster and simpler solution.
In the replies you post. You keep ignoring my advise of an installation that hasn't been tempered with. In the time it takes to come here again, read the replies and write a reply yourself, the setup would have been done already and you would know the answer.Lockheed wrote:And where did I exhibited this stubbornness you speak of?
