Solaris 10 on Virtual Box

I can't get internet browing on a Solaris guest running on Windows XP host.
i use host interface ( I want a static ip ) save 208.200.100.120
i changed /etc/hosts /etc/inet/ipnodes /etc/defaultrouter
no luck
What am I missing

ps. I can ftp from windows to the Solaris guest, I can start smcwebserver on solaris and browe from IE on windows, But can't firefox on solaris to the outside worldd.

Do you have a DHCP running on your network? If you do, set it for DHCP first as a test. If that works, check what file holds the config and change it all to static networking.

I don't have dhcp turned on. The Windows host can see the Solaris 10 guest at .120. Windows IP is xxx.xxx.xxx.114 and the Solairs ipconfig is xxx.xxx.xxx.120. So the Solaris quest must be at .120.
I can ftp from windows to the solaris statis address fine
and can do a windows brower to the solaris smc.
But the Solaris can't brower the internet that the windows can see even if ia put a real .com ip address.
I not real good at Solaris IP stuff but using the same configuation on a standalone Solaris box i can browse the internet. 8) 8)

Does your router have some sort of MAC address filter?

Did you remember to add your nameservers to /etc/resolv.conf?
