Disk Reading not working

Post by icyest »

I have Ubuntu 8.10, with VirtualBox running XP. I happen to have an "Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003" disk with the serial and everything. My virtual Machine (even though it's mounting using host cd drive) wont read the disk when I insert the disk.

How can I get it working?

Have you assigned the CDROM Device from the Host to the Guest?

Someone posted the same issue on the Windows Guests forum. Copy the install files to your hard drive, then access them with the VM using shared folders.
