Unable to remove network device from Windows XP

Post by patrick0525 »

I installed VBox 2.1.0 and got it to work with a dual port Intel NICS & IPCop. I uninstalled the dual nics and installed a quad port Nics and found a strange network adapter called 'NET' which cannot be removed from the XP device manager window. The device instance id:\root\sun_vboxnetfltmp\0000.

I even tried uninstalling VBox and now the re-installation fails because of this device!

Any ideas on how to remove it? Is it a valid bug to post?

Thanks

Thanks Patrick. I'm having this same issue with the Net device. I'll try your method and see how I go.

Cheers
