Network between Windows host and Solaris 10 quest

Post by barry smith »

Are the a simple set of instruction to allow my Solaris 10 brower to get to the internet.

My Windows host internal IP is [public IP remove]. What and where do I need to change Virtualbox or Solaris 10 to see the internet.
interface is e0000b0.

I removed your IP address, you don't want your public IP to be all around the internet, it's not safe, especially on a Windows machine.

Now if you want your Guest to get on the internet, you have only one real solution, and that is attach the virtual NIC to NAT.

What about reading the manual, chapter 6? That describes all you need to know about networking with VB.

Ihave read the manual , but unclear on exact steps. Hoping some would have a step by step real
life commands that need to be issued.

I assume like other forums, someone would have a step by step solution.

What have you tried and what exactly doesn't work? Unless you specify what you have done, what settings you use and the issues you run across, we can't help you.
