Windows XP won't reboot

I have Fedora 10 running VirtualBox 2.1.0 with Windows XP sp2 has the guest. When I initially installed Windows, it would reboot normally. Now after all the fixes the Microsoft recommends, Windows, it shuts down normally but won't restart. The screen just goes black. I have to close the window and I take the power down option. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I'm assuming that one of the many fixes may be causing the conflict.

What does the log file say about the VM state when shutting down? If possible, try a new install in a new VM and install the updates one by one, rebooting and shutting down after each update. It's time consuming, I know, but you do know what hotfix breaks it.

The problem seems to be solved. It looks like a failed installation of Lotus Notes was causing the reboot problem. I reinstalled Notes and the guest Windows XP machine is now working correctly. I guess that failed Notes installation put Windows into a wait state during its reboot/shutdown stages.
