I have installedm on my Linux host, a fresh XP guest from scratch. It works 100%

I have then created another VM: XP image through the raw process.
This case VM hangs on mup.sys

i have tried all the suggestions I got looking around in this forum and in Internet as well. No success. Always hung.

I saw there was a ticket opened on this issue, and it was closed. To me it looks there was no solution provided.

What ca I do?

This is a driver chain issue. Have a look at the dual boot tutorial at the top of the Windows Guests forum and the related discussions. However, as Stefan says: without more details it's difficult to give you a precise answer.

Well...fist i'ts not an issue related to dual boot configuration, since I have installed MBR library and have generated a MBR filw which works correctly.

That said let's see what I have:

Kubuntu 8.10 as host
Windows XS as guest
For all the other items: which command should I run to get those info out ?
THANKS !

I know that it isn't a dual boot issue per se. I did read your post. But the driver chain issues that you suffer also hit you in dual boot scenarios which is why the best discussion of this issues occur in this thread and discussion.
