No network in Windows 7

Hello,

last weekend I installed a Windows 7 pre-release test version (build 7000) in VirtualBox 2.1.0 in WinXP, SP3.
Win7 works fine, as far as you can state for a test release,. I also tried to install Guest Additions with Win7 but GA mentioned it didn't recognize the operating system (not really a surprise of course...)

So there's no mouse integration, no seamless mode and no network connection available in the Win7 setup in VB. I can live without the first two but I would really appreciate a working network connection here.

Considering the fact that we are talking about a very early version of MS' new operatings system my hopes are not very high but maybe someone here has a workaround to get the network working in this setup.

Rgrds,

Peter

Try Intel e1000 or use a Windows version that is final.

Changing the network adapter to Intel did the trick.

Thanks!

Tried running the installer in Vista mode but didn't work, regarding the network functionality.

Windows 7 is now installed as 'Other Version' with Intel network adapter.
