SOLVED - Virtual Network

Post by mashcaster »

I am posting here because I have tried searching for a solution and have been unable to find it. Most likely because I do not know what to search for.

I would like to create a virtual network using virtualbox.

I would like to create a VM application server, a VM file server, and 2 standard desktop VMs. The 2 standard desktop VMs should be able to connect to the VM application and file servers as if it were a real network.

I am using VirtualBox 2.0.4. Can someone please point me to the right direction as I am not having much luck with google when searching for stuff like "virtualbox virtual network".

Set the network type to "Internal Network" and give them all the same network name.
Some say: "You learn as long as you live".
My way: "You live as long as you learn".

I now have 1 VM as a server and 2 VMs as standard desktop PCs. I have changed network type to "internet network" for all 3 VMs. Now, how do I get them to talk to each other?
