I'm assuming they are like vmwares and you need to install these to resize the screen to seamless and that jazz but when i mounted the install iso i coulnd't find it anywhere. I looked in /mnt and i looked in /media/cdrom and dvd and nothing was there. I also ran the mount cmd and it showed nothing as well.

guest additions are totally broken in 2.1.0

even if you mount the iso in the host and scp the files over, screen resizing doesn't work for linux guests.

You can install VB 2.0.6 until VB 2.1.2 is released.

I don't see there is 2.1.0 version of the guest addition.

I looked into where the VBoxGuestAdditions.iso file is located. It has the time stamp from my installation of the 2.0.6.

The 2.0.6 version of the guest addition works perfectly fine as far as I can tell.

The GA ISO is part of the VBox distro. If you have VB 2.0.6 installed then you will also have GA 2.0.6. In the PEUL edition there isn't a separate GA kit.

Older GA can be found on the download server. Here is the direct link to the 2.0.6 GA: http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualb ... _2.0.6.iso

Now look at the VirtualBox FAQ for how to install the GA. You have to mount the 'CD' manually in the Guest after you mounted in VB. Some linux Guests don't automount it like Windows does.

Sasquatch, pickie, pickie OK, I agree that you can download load it if you happen to know the URL, but it isn't publicly advertised (on the Download VirtualBox (Old Builds) page) is it?

No, but didn't you ever try with other progrrams to leave the actual filename out of the URL and see where you go? You often end up with a listing of folders and files that reside there .

Of course it's an old hack to find out where the webadmin has accidentally or consciously enable directory browsing, but not one that most of our users would consider.
