Copying from shared to host

Shared folder works fine, but I have a strange problem "afterwards". When changing to XP and trying to copy or move files from the shared folder to a xp-directory of my choice, the windows explorer is hanging. Means, the files are not completely copied oder moved. And it is impossible to delete the files, neither the files in the shared folder, nor the incomplete files in the xp-directory. Windows-Explorer ist stuck in that way, that it is further not possible (until restart of windows) to copy anything using the explorer. And restarting windows is not possible in the common way, I get the error message, windows is using files and I should wait. Killing explorer in taskmanager has no effect. I have to restart via reset or powerbutton. What the hell is going on here with explorer and shared folder?

PS: It makes no difference, having Virtualbox running or closed, when trying to copy/move files from shared to xp. It hangs.

If you haven't done already, disable the webclient service first. Check how that goes.

If it doesn't help, check the event log viewer. That should have some info on what is happening.
And is it on the Host, or the Guest? If it's on the Host, it might be something else, like antivirus or firewall.
