No start with USB-TV-Stick

Post by jojotsch »

I want to use VBox (2.1.0) for the first time (want to change from Virtual PC).
Unfortunately I can't start VBOX with a connected USB-TV-Stick. Every time I receive

Code: Select all

Assertion failed at 'C:\vbox\32\w32-rel\src\VBox\Main\VirtualBoxImpl.cpp' (309) in VirtualBox::init
Unknown exception
E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Starting without the stick connected there is no problem.
Connecting the stick when VBox is running will crash Vbox.

I am using Vbox with Vista Ultimate. USB support is disabled.

Please create a ticket in the Bugtracker (you have to create an account for it though) and give as much info as they need to solve this. So what they need at least is the following:
  • Event log data
  • VBox Log of the machine that was running (attach this one)
  • Exact info about the USB TV device. Brand, type, everything
  • Exact ways to trigger it
