Video Crash when networking

Post by ridergroov1 »

Hi folks. I know I changed something before to fix this but I can't remember. When I go to start, run, then type in a network address, the video has all these crazy lines that come up in effect crashing the virtual machine. There was a network setting that fixes this I believe. Help?

Fair enough. Vista x64 Ultimate running XP Pro SP3 VM. Q6600 Quad Core CPU, 4GB RAM. When I want to transfer files over the network, I use the run command with the UNC path. I get to the network folder, right click, hit paste and poof, I have multicolor lines in the VM screen (crashed). I have to "power off" the VM and restart it. Happens every time.

What you are seeing is a BSOD, but with some distored graphics. The network setting you need to set is disable the WebClient service.
