vbox 2.1 problems on vista64

tried to install vbox 2.1 on vista64, business edition runing on Compaq 8710w laptop.
starting vbox 2.1 after installation on vista64 doesn't work. I get errors.
getting previous version 2.0.6 from "http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/" does not give me problems a.k.a. vbox 2.0.6 seems to work fine.
install done under administrator account
