bluetooth mouse stops working (xp host + xp guest)

Post by flyingtablet »

Installed 2.1.0 and bluetooth mouse stops.

Even if I exit all virtualbox programs, the mouse still does not work.

But I can see the LED on my laptop blinking.
So it should be a problem that some virtualbox driver intercepts the mouse
events.

Any solutions?

Thank you!

It's likely that your VM grabbed the USB where the BT is connected to. When you close the VM, it does not always give it back to the host. You have to disable USB in the VM settings, or set strict filters so it doesn't grab your mouse anymore.

Actually, the VM has USB disabled.
So it should not grab it.

Is it a bug?

Possibly. Please remove VB, then install it _without_ USB support and see how that goes.

The problem is that even if I uninstall virtualbox, bluetooth mouse
still does not work.

Then I tried to reinstall VB without USB support. It encountered some
error and rolled back installation.
