I'm trying to install Virtual box for the first time with the latest version 2.1.0-41146. The installation seems to be going ok but once the completion bar is full the installation hangs (I left it for 30minutes). It also hung my network connectivity, my wifi adapter was enabled in Network Connections but it had no IP address and the Intel Software reported it as disconnected.
I had to shut down and kill the installation and network processes after which it Virtualbox said it was installed so I tried uninstalling it to have another go but then it hung during the un-installation and did the same thing to my network adapter.
System:
Dell Latitude D830
T7250 - 2x2Gh
2GB Ram
30GB+ free space on internal drive
Intel 3945ABG Wireless Adapter
Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller
I haven't seen any other threads with a problem like this but if its a duplicate please just point me in the right direction and I'll be on my way.
