guests not seeing both processor cores

Post by chumpster »

Hi,

I have a dual core host running Wn XP. I've tried 1.4.6, 2.0.6 & 2.1.0 but the guest OSs don't see both cores.

For example in a Linux guest #cat /proc/cpuinfo only shows one processor.

Is there anything special I should be doing to make it appear as a dual processor?

VB only passes one CPU core to the VM. Multicore support is on the roadmap, but it's unknown when it will be done.
