i have a weird problem, all 3 of my vm's had internet via my dial up internet connection untill i changed my workgroup name. once i did that, none of my vm's have internet. they all still have the same ip address, the standard 10.0.x.x. and i have changed back my workgroup name to the original, still no good. the host has internet, no problem. the vm's have been unchanged. the problem lies in vm and vm alone. please help me!

I am running windows xp service pack 3 natively.

I have another machine using virtualbox 2.0.4 (they both are using that version) and that machine has no problem still using my dial up...

I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling vbox.

i even forced a ipconfig release and renew inside of a windows 2k vm, no good...

if there is any more information you need please e-mail me or post here.

P.S. i did look on the boards for this problem, but no one else seems to have this problem....

please reply

This is a problem for me because my vm's will work untill i make a networking change inside of my native xp install, and then i may be forced to do something as drastic as format and reinstall the native os to get it to work again, or hope that a new version of vbox is out. this is not the first time. it's not my os's fault, or any of the vm's, it's virtualbox itself. please help me with this!
