Hi all,

just upgraded from 2.0.6 to 2.1.0 on WinXP Host.
As mentioned in other threads, the Host Interfaces were gone.

Unfortunately, the re-creation fails:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\Sun\xVM VirtualBox>VBoxManage.exe createhostif evo00a

I tried re-installing, rebooting - same message.
Any ideas?

Thanks, Klaus

That command is now obsolete. We forgot to remove it. The entire host interface networking has been changed. See the manual.

Any ideas how to solve this related issue. See

My host laptop gets an IP from DHCP 10.2.144.135 and the VM has a fixed IP 192.168.0.1. I do not want the network to see the VM.

I was able to give the virtual network adapter IP 192.168.0.2 and connect to the VM without problem. With 2.1.0 the virtual network adapter is gone, so how do I connect to the VM now ?

Thanks, Timo
