Hi, All,

I just install the 2.10 version of VirtualBox (After remove VBox 2.06 first)

My host os is ubuntu 8.10.

Then I start the vm (xp, 2003, solaris10), all network is configurated as "host interface". All vms will throw erros "IP address conflict". And the xp, 2003 will start even this error and still use the network. But solaris10 will say duplicatied network and the network can't be used.

my ubuntu's kernel is:
2.6.27-9-generic #1 SMP Thu Nov 20 21:57:00 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

Any one have any idea, please give me your advice.

Thanks,

I have the same problem with VB 2.1.0 on Fedora 10 with
WinXP as the guest.

XP continually whines about duplicate IPs existing on the
network

My host interface is eth1, which is a wireless device. According
to Ticket 2757 comments it appears that VB deliberately sets
the IPs to the same when a wireless interface is detected...

It is regrettable the the old Tap interface was removed/broken
in version 2.1.0. At least it worked for all of my needs.

I guess one could downgrade to 2.0.6 until ( if ever) the problem
is fixed...

I mean that warning is not realy duplicate ip. Of course Pop Up message will be fixed in next release.

Yeah, it is issue only when you use wireless.

And it's not warning only. If your guest is solaris, the network in guest will not work.

I have downgraded to 2.06, All is OK.
