Okay, here's my problem: I'm trying to install a 64-bit Linux VM on my 32-bit Vista. But it says my system is a 32-bit system in the installation. I tried enabling IO ACPI, but that just freezes the VM at startup. Do you guys know if my processor supports virtualization? Its an Intel C2D E4400. It says it supports EM64T in CPU-Z, don't know what that means though. Any help will be highly appreciated.

EM64T means it's capable of running a 64 bit OS. Check the manual for what you need to run a 64 bit Guest on a 32 bit Host. It probably involves the need of VT-x on your CPU. And according to the processorfinder page on intel.com, it doesn't have VT-x.
