Server 2008 on a win2k3 host

So has anyone tried doing this i'm having a bugger of a time with 2008 finding the virtual host adapter created by vbox. I loads up just fine but no matter what nic card i choose to emulate it can't find drivers for it. any help woudl be awsome i really want to play with 2k8

Windows 2008 should have the driver for the Intel/Pro NICs. You can always download the driver from the intel website and load it in your VM using shared folders, an ISO, usb drive, whatever you need to get it there.

OK I'LL give that a try figured 08 should find it too. Also the system i have it on is a supermicro intel 5000p mother board and as far as i can tell that mobo doesn't have win 2k8 drivers for it which is kinda a downer. I'll give it a go and see what happens. and how would i do a shared folder if the nic driver isn't working ?

Shared Folders should not depend on a NIC. It's a loopback interface idea, it goes straight to a VB API which translates it to it's shared folders.

ahh i was wondering about that thank you going to try the driver fix shortly.
