VirtualBox killing Network Connections

I'm having issues with the TUN adapter that seems to be killing my servers network adapter. It's taking down my server and I have to kill the VirtualBox to get the adapter working again. I can restart the Vbox and all is fine for a while, but it will eventually kill the network connections again.
Anybody have any ideas?

Some details would be nice. Eg. which precise host OS you are using, which version of VBox, precise description of any error messages seen.

VirtualBox 1.4
Guest OS: Windows 2003 Server
Host OS : Windows 2003 Server
Running in Host Interface mode
Plenty of Drive space for VM
Connections are bridged.
This just started happening recently, it's been running fine for months then all of a sudden the network will just stop working. I have to go close the VirtualBox Session and manager, and disable then renable the "Local Bridge" for it to start working again.

Try the new version, 2.1.0, and see how that goes.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I believe I'm looking at an issue with the NIC and Routing and Remote Access, it may not have to do with Virtual Box at all.
Thanks,

You should still upgrade to something newer than 1.4. Pretty soon you'll need a new VB to setup a VM just so you can run your old VB 1.4. :)
