is it possible to install µtorrent? i keep getting a bluescreen and a reset of my VM every time i try and install it.

if utorrent doesn't work, would btjunkie?

It would help if you tell us what BSOD you get. It can be anything. AFAIK, uTorrent should not give any BSOD or whatsoever.
In fact, I just launched uTorrent and it started just fine. Even from my shared folder.

actually i figured out that i was getting the BSOD because my VM wasn't set to a preallocated disk size. it is now and works great.

utorrent installed fine but i'm having trouble setting up the internet port connection. when i checked my vm's ipconfig, the ip address was not a full 192.168.0.1 kind of ip address, it was more like 10.0.2.2 and there was only 1 dns server listed?

is there a special way to connect the port with utorrent from a windows xp vm? thanks again.

You are running a NAT behind a NAT, so you need to forward the ports twice. Once on your router that directs to the Host, and one on the Host as described in the manual for the Guest. Use the same ports, so that can not become a problem.
