Shared folders doesn't work

Post by raven128 »

Host machine - Q6600/2*2048 Mb PC8500/Sata 250+500+750 Gb/ Vista Ultimate SP1.
Guest OS - Ubuntu 8.10. "VBox Guest Additions" installed without any problem or error.
Problem is that Ubuntu can't connect to an any shared folders whatever i'm trying to share. Running a command from manual "mount -t vboxsf share mountpoint" get such error message: "/sbin/mount.vboxsf no such device". mountpoint exists, share too.
what i do wrong?

Also make sure that you don't have any special characters in the SF name. Only use lowercase characters (a-z) and see how that goes.
