When I first installed VB 2.0.6 I could't register - "Connection timed out", and after three atempts the register-dialog did not show anymore.
More distrurbing - I can't get any of my guest-machines on internet. It's probably due to a rather strict proxy-setting.
I even had to configure Firefox with the correct proxy-settings to get it to connect to internet.
My host is XP SP2.
I've tried sevral network settings in VB for the (ubuntu) guest, but I can't seem to get it right....
How can I do this?
Can't connect to internet via proxy on XP host

VB itself cannot access internet if you have a proxy in your network. The VMs should be able to though. If you set it on NAT, configure your proxy in your VM. If that doesn't work, you need to set Host Interface Networking. See the manual for how to set it up. There is also enough info on the forum. If you use wifi, it might be a problem.
