Dual Monitor XP with XP Client - can't use second monitor

Post by joenoone »

Hi all...

I am running Vitrualbox on a Windows XP host and have created an XP guest and I cannot go into seamless mode on the guest if it is running on the second display (the VM is just messed up on display, although I can do a <ctrl>+L to undo), nor if I am in seamless mode with the guest on the primary monitor can I move a window (from the guest) to the second display.

Someone know how do I get this to work????

Thanks!

It won't work with current versions. This is known, there is a bug ticket for it. It will be addressed when the time comes. Keep an eye on the release notes to see if it's fixed in future versions. You can also keep track of the ticket http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/1331

I'd seen that ticket for issues with Linux Host / Windows Guest but is it the same issue with Windows Host / Windows Guest?

Before it's ask "why a windows guest in a windows host" I'll explain it has to do with VPN software - Cisco & Check Point VPN software doesn't co-exist well on the same host.

I've seen it on a Windows Host with a Linux Guest. It's probably not even related to what OS you run, host or guest.
